Hello all, I'm about to take the plunge on a Classic Impreza - my first! The car is L555 SCB a 1995 black Classic which has an API built engine mapped at Jolly Green Monster running 337bhp. I gather the engine used to be in a red Impreza which was featured in Fast Car magazine (??) which was then broken so the engine ended up in this black Classic. The spec as I believe it to be is.....

- full engine rebuild with wossner pistons
- closed deck block
- cometic head gaskets
- reworked v3 heads
- arp head studs - SS Charged Pipping
- full 3" s/s de cat exhaust w/ 5" tail,
- GT spec 2 headers
- Front Mount InterCooler
- Apexi inducton kit,
- HKS ssq bov
- S/S Boost piping
-Juran Strut brace
- td05 16g turbo
- 440 injectors
- Apexi fc ecu w/ commander mapped to 337bhp/320lb/ft by Simon at JGM
- Fully re con'd ty754 gear box with 4.444 diff,
- Exedy pink box clutch - box and clutch.

I also understand the previous owner was a ScoobyNet person. Can anyone help please before I do the deal?? Thanks in advance, I can see I will be spending some time on here Cheers Mark

Well if the engine was built by API and mapped by JGM then it should be bloody good. All depends if it's been looked after of course.

Your best bet would be to try and ask David from API (apidavid on here).

IMO, that front bumper and headlights have got to go lol, damn ugly!

Wow blast from the past....
Is it as good as the write up suggested? Should be a monster but I pulled out.
Would be good to hear how it turned out.

I ended up with an 03 WRX wagon which looks and sounds superb.

Cheers
Mark.

Sounds impressive.
I did a bit of research and drew blanks unfortunately.
It was was tuned at JGM I gather but they couldn't recall it nor could API engines who built the engine.
I was led to believe the engine was in a red Impreza which was magazine featured and then ended up in the black one you've bought. Not sure of the full story, just what I 'learnt'.

Mark.
