ive got no idea if its been mapped or not, wasn't told about it by the old owner but he wasnt clued up about them either. a garage owned it previously to him tho so it possibly could have been. there are signs of alot more electronic devices that was in the car before that have been removed but couldnt say what was there before

just really want to know what its worth
having my mate come to give me a price on spraying the roof and the rear quarter as there are 2 scratches on the car so want to get them done, and most likely have the front bumper sprayed over at the same time to.
then it will be stored away again so it stays in the condition it is

ok il rephrase that ive had the engine apart to check it and put new gaskets in it and all seemed fine.
running wise yea get what your saying its had things done to it so really should have a map put on it if it hasnt been done.
im near milton keynes and not sure where would be able to give it a check over running wise so if anyone has a idea then please let me know

It's an RA but with bit's added. A purest would point out that it's got side skirts, rear hockey sticks, rear tints, rear spoiler and a front bumper splitter fitted, the door handles and mirrors have been painted but RA's had none of those features. The whole premise was a lightweight (1140Kgs) Race Altered car with a short ratio gearbox pushing out 260 bhp in that MY.
Do you have any history at all as there is considerable modding but no back up information.
Judging by the rust around the strut brace nuts the engine bay is probably buzzing.
Price will be what someone will pay but the car is not presented in a good way.
I have an un-modded WRX RA on a P plate with 68000 kms on the clock. Here's the ad.

I did not pay the full asking price but it was close.

A nice good condition RA in standard form is very desirable but as others have mentioned this has been substantially altered and not for the better.
I would advise trying to revert back to how it is supposed to look as the mods done to it devalue it a touch. Research RA's and get some gen on them.
A health check is essential. And generally get more clued up on impreza's. Just before I bought mine I signed up to this forum and just kept looking through various posts, and learnt a lot of useful information.
A general check over by an impreza specialist will be worth it's weight in gold, he can advise you on condition and what needs addressing first. The mapping I expect is right at the top of the list to get checked out.
Have fun
Don't ruin it.
