Default Help! Dump valve relocation.

I have an 05 wrx blob eye. The dump valve is mountd on the top mount intercooler. I was looking to to mover the dump valve more to the right hand side an was wondering if you could buyna pipe to relocate it? If so whre?

There is so much debate about DV's and OE is best.

It's fitted there because it's the best place. But if it's a VTA aftermarket DV, I suggest it's relocated to the dust bin.

The force is strong maybe with this one

Maybe just 3 pages as people are bored with dump valve threads as they have been done to death

I think it can only be relocated if you go for front mount then it goes without saying. I could be wrong but someone helpful might be along soon. In the meantime mate you're just gonna have the "heavy weights" giving their own opinions rather than just answering the f@ckin question. It's something you're gonna have to deal with because responding just makes you a troll or a school chid or something!

For the record "Lord", the impreza wagon is a poor excuse for a car....but that's just my point of view!

The best thing to relocate is, take off ur old dv of the intacoola. Blok it up wi tissue paper, innit. Get ur turdosmart dv and weld it to ur backbox. Get the vac pipe and relocate it to the drivers seat. Suck on it when u see ur m8's and it'll sound gr8, bro. Innit.

In all honesty, vta's are so 1990's. Stick with stock dv.

Hi,here's some information about dump valves read the information and then make your own mind up,if you are still running a MAF sensor the standard recirc is the best one.SJ.

Personally, i'd sell it and buy a proper one for your year of car. A hell of a lot easier plus it will make it easier to return to standard when it comes to sell.

(or just stick with the original and enjoy the smoother running!)

Car manufacturers fit recirculating (plumb back) Dump Valves to give the pressurised air an alternate path when the throttle is closed: back into the turbo compressor inlet.
I would have thought plumbed back air would be heading back towards the air filter meaning going back on boost has to turn pressurised air backwards.
