Default md321t 58mm or 76mm intake?

Is there much difference in how this turbo would perform on a standard engine 2 ltr blob with avcs?

Would the smaller intake spool faster?

Thanks

the 76mm would make it more laggy and there wouldn't be a gain in power, just to have a free flowing filter, K&N for example.

Hi there

As above 76mm is too big,you can gain on top end,but you will loose on the spool up
58mm is best bet and on 2.0L or 2.1L will be awesome turbo

why would a larger inlet pipe add lag (genuine question)?

As many threads has been posted on the Nasioc, where you can search about the what is better choice

Some guys pointed out,TGV delete have bigger impact on top end and spool than 2.4" or 3" inlet, but in my view 2.4" still will spool little better than 3",if you are looking for 450-500bhp

Above that yes 3" should help like bigger exhaust housing, but with this you will sacrifice spool, but you will gain on top end
