Hello all,
Picked up my MY01 Wagon today and driven it back 100 odd miles and confirmed why I made the change from lazy old VR6's!
Car has a few little issues but is a one owner car.
It has 128,000 on the clock a bit of rot on the subframe and a little bit notchy steering on hard lock.
Also due a cambelt as not much in the way of recent history.
Anyone on here recommend anyone for work around the Chelmsford area?
Not sure I would be able to take on more than oil and filter myself.
My only pic so far:
Looks really understated I think, coming from old Golfs and Corrados its actually the newest car I've owned in 12 years on the road!
First drive feedback, love the turbo, love the seats love the solid planted feel.
To do, cambelt service, fit full stainless Prodrive exhaust that was given to me with the car. Check out steering and look for new subframe!
Be looking to find some local ish meets as well

Bug wagons are the way to go...
understated, underrated but still fast enough to enjoy.
As above, the 'U' frame
http://opposedforces.com/parts/impre...chassis_frame/
is basicly for additional crash ratings in the US from 4 to 5 star apparently and you could run without but would mean running with a engine under tray. or get a used item from a scrapped jap import n then rust protecting it (what i did) or if its not too far gone, patch it up, its NOT structural.
have fun
