Default Exhaust backbox options

I've got a 3" japspeed full system and fancy swapping the back box to a straight out the back style (can't think of the name lol) as apposed to the jap style one. What options do I have? Cheers.

Hmm subscribed.

Got prodrive box atm but mapper said it should probably on my list of things to change if I want more power. I love the aesthetics of it though.

I just fancy a change really. It's been mapped with the exhaust so would like to stick with the current set up with a change in backbox. Oh and it's a p reg classic import btw.

Why not have a look at a Hayward & Scott or a miltek system?

When you say straight out the back do you mean no box at the rear or non angled tail pipe?

Yeah maybe lol. I'm guessing you can buy the miltek backbox seperatly? Will keep an eye out for something second hand as I just want to trial and error something.

When its cold, it is pretty loud but once it warms up its not too bad. It is louder than the normal scoob and its got a different sound too it I did put a video clip on here of it a while ago

We have a straight one 2.5 or 3" on the site

http://www.carbenfibrecreations.co.u...roller=product

I can also supply a load of others from 2.5" up to 5"

What car is it going on?

Is that the one you have for sale or did have? I think mine will be fine ref db level as I don't think it's as loud as my Clio was (103db).

Go for it, the bigger back boxes (I have an Afterburner) makes a huge and very pleasurable difference.

Would a straight cut one reduce noise, I guess it will alter it depending on which one i went for?

I don't think that you can go far wrong with the prodrive set up. Loud enough when putting your foot down, but quiet enough not to upset the neighbours when starting up. An example below

I think that the Japspeed centre section is only designed to match up with their backbox ?

I have a newage 3" Japspeed CAT back system and the centre section is too short to mate up with the APS backbox I tried.

I compared the Japspeed exhaust to the standard set up as well and it appears that the backbox is 'longer' than the standard one but the centre section is shorter.
