Default forge recirc valve

im thinking of changing back from vta to recirc valve on my 97 turbo 2000 and wanted to know is there any difference between the standard oem black plastic recirc valve and a forge recirc valve, as in performance, noise and life or are there better aftermarket options? also will be getting it remapped in the near future to.

I changed my oe dump valve for a Forge recirc on my V3 STi as the original didn't hold boost.

The Forge is a decent bit of kit. It's a bit louder than the oe one and you can buy a set of springs and spacers to adjust the spring rate. (presumably to hold more boost?)

I'm running a Forge on mine, recommended by Bob Rawle before mapping, it uses the springs etc it came with and gives no problem at 1.5 bar.

A bit noisy if you have a cone filter (rcm on mine) but holds 1.65bar
