they make slightly more power and spool ups better, they were fitted to a 1999 uk2000 with a td06 fitted but I think the join is the same on all the td exhaust housing , the spool is good on the 04 with standard headers so should make a good difference, I was gonna put them on my car but I got a Set of dead eaquall headers so these are spare

They have a flexi in them so stay away from them. headers and not really required until the 400bhp mark, below that ported std header are fine, plus you'll need a remap on ported or uprated.

Have a read of this tread

OEM headers are OK for the TD04 The small turbo does not flow a lot of air so unless you are changing the Turbo I'd look for power gains elsewhere......

All IMHO

Why do you want a new fuel pump? are you having the car remapped?

Flexi joints in the up-pipes are a common weak link and tend to blow quite early in the life of the headers

Yes lots of cars have flexi's in the exhaust. They dont seen to stand up to the extreme heat of the up pipe

I would say flex joints in 304 crap stainless headers would help prolong the life of the header personally, the less flexing a crappy 304 manifold has to do the better!
