Default Roof strips / gutters

Hi
How do you remove the roof strips / gutters whatever there called lol. Mine have started to look a dulling black more grey now and want to plasti dip them gloss black.
So just wondered how I remove them without damaging them or the car.

Sorry to hijack, but I'd be interested to see responses to this too.

The roof strips on my classic have started to work loose, so I'd be keen to find out how to safely remove and refit.

They are clipped on, I'm not sure the fine details of removing them but you will probably snap all the clips during taking them off. There are metal posts, they look like nail heads in the gutters that these clip onto, I don't think they pull straight off they need pushing the direction of the car to unclip them but I do not know which way without checking the trims. I can take a few pictures of my trims later as they are removed but I don't have the car with me to show you the metal posts. I've had to price new one up and you don't even want to go there.

An that sounds a mission, may just cover the car up and plasti dip them on the car.
