51 plate bugeye alarm
Hi guys
I have just bought a bugeye but I don't know if it has an alarm or not....
it has the sensors on the pillars and the flashing immobiliser light and when I connected the battery back up the siren chirped but I can "arm" it and it locks the doors and the indicaters flash but I can leave the window open and wave my arms about inside the car like a loon but it doesn't go off.
should I have a separate fob for the alarm because I got a key with 2 buttons on it (lock, unlock) any help would be appreciated.
cheers

I think that genuine UK cars had Sigma alarms fitted by IM when they came over...........my Belgian import just had the OEM Subaru alarm (two buttons on the key fob)
Looks like the extra alarm might have been disabled.

No piont in setting the Sigma (if it has one) as there is no fob........
Is it a UK car ?, as I mentioned my bug is a euro import and just had the factory alarm I had an extra alarm fitted to Thatchem 1 ( a SELCA alarm) so I could insure it !

The two button key has nothing to do with the sigma standard alarm. It just locks/unlocks doors. You won't be able to start the car without the blue alarm fob. If car does start its been disconnected. So don't worry about it if you can live without an alarm.
