Default Godspeed bells

Would anyone know the reason behind my Godspeed bells turning from black to purple after just 200 steady miles?

Have had these bells on mine (98 Type R) for over three years now and no issues.

They go like that with serious heat put through them , my rally cars ones have done it but not as bad as yours , are the calipers working properly ?

It could be done by an aggressive wheel cleaner.

There is no way it should do that on 200 miles of steady driving

The brakes seem to be working fine under steady driving seem really sharp and responsive compared to the previous setup I had on the car! I haven't even done the hard braking 8-10 times yet from 70-20 like the instructions tell you...
As far as cleaning products go I only use auto glym bodywork shampoo conditioner on the car!?
To be honest I can live with the colour it's not the end of the world was more concerned if there was bigger problems!

Thinking outside the box a bit here, but could it be heat from a fubar'd wheel bearing coming out rather than brake heat going in?
