Question Newby puzzled by damper choice

Hi everyone. i counldnt find anywhere to introduce my self so im killing two birds with one stone. sorry if it in the wrong place or should of done 2 seperate threads.

I have just bought a 2001 wrx bug. my first one and really like it.the previous owner said its supposed to be a prodive but im not sure it is. it doesnt go like 265 bhp but im gonna give it a good service and hopefully it might sort it out.

im also a member on mpsoc and have Mazda 3 mps mk1 that ran 422bhp and 397lbft on its last dyno.

Anyway my rear dampers a goosed. As far as i can figure out my car is a GD been a saloon.i will have to go and cheack my vin. I have found these on camskill

http://www.camskill.co.uk/m10b0s2713...03_on_Excl_STi

but also found this on ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMP...item3f27f3cacf

they say GD and GG. are estate and saloon dampers the same or do i need them exactly for a 2.0 wrx or will they fit from a 1.6.

i have a feeling the aswer is going to be no there not the same but just want to make sure

Any help would be great peeps.

they won't fit from a 1.6/2.0 non turbo

the model number in the first link is 20360, i bought one in error and found out it was from a 2.0 sport https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-par...rbo-sport.html

you will be best off emailing camskill with your vin and reg number

If it's a WRX then 218 bhp, the STi is 265 bhp out of the factory. Can be tickled and brought upto a nice figure. My bug STi is at 440 bhp on original engine with bolt on items currently at 108K miles.

I have tein coilovers on mine they are a hard ride but okay for me.

the wrx came with PPP (prodrive performance pack) as an optional extra

upgrades were sports cat, remap and springs/dampers IIRC, 265 bhp.

the sti ecu wouldn't suit the parts fitted to a wrx as std. wrx has td04 turbo and 420cc (light blue) injectors, sti has vf35 (or similar), 550cc (pink) injectors. also wrx has cat in up-pipe, different top mount, heads, no TGV, etc
