I'm running a simtek on my newage mapped with AL (on a switch) and LC which should engage when first gear is selected. I never got around to using the LC as my clutch was on its last legs but when I went to try the other day it just hits the redline instead of the lower limit set by the LC. Am I right in thinking it could be a faulty gear selection switch? If so is it an easy job and who stocks the part other than dealers?

 

Try switching it on in neutral with handbrake on. Then engage 1st handbrake off and try revving.

Is that a sequence that's common then? Will try it tomorrow. Only the AL is on a switch the LC should engage when first gear is selected.

 

Mines a little tempremental too. Always engages like this though

That did the trick mate, nice one. Strange it should do that but nice to have it back.
