I fitted mine today (ht autos) and it fit over my afterburner vortex angled box. With a bit of persuasion here and there.

I have a HT Autos on mine with a Toyo Sports exhaust, little bit of cutting required and some persuasion but fits well...doesn't do anything but looks good i think

The mainstream diffusers wont do anything they are just for looks. I will be making a fully functioning diffuser complete with undercar panels to make the air flow in the right places but as yet I have no idea when it'll be done

Varis Diffusers has been tested and designed in CFD and Wind tunnel.Plus their cars has running and run Japan TA or WTAC

About the making full flat floor and aero, you will need speak with MIRA,Duncan@Race Dynamix and I would also speak with Paul@Zen(he is real legend)

I've uploaded few PDF about the Aerodynamics over here and really is worth to at least read, this PDF its older date but still is awesome read and will help you at least understand how it works etc

Theres 2 types of diffusers, as stated above.

-First type is the most common, and is essentially just a trim strip for the bottom of the rear bumper. Not functional in the slightest.

-Second is the varis style shown above, which smooths all of the air flow from the rear subframe backwards. Without extra work smoothing the floor, it wont do alot, but will pull air from the rear of the car better (partly because the lower few inches of the bumper which hang down into the air flow need cutting away), and will therefore have a small (probably negligable)reduction in drag.

Hi Jura,

Thanks for the info, I am in talks with a guy I know who designed the Ferrari F1 diffuser so im hoping he can point me in the right direction. I will also have access to wind tunnels to help with the design

Im looking forward to getting started on it I think I can make something that would work really well and help the guy that use their cars for racing

I'll have a look through your PDF's too when I get chance

OEM Subaru diffuser which has been as first introduced on JDM cars(I think Hawkeye has been first one) then yes they're functional and from tests they're working when you car going above 120km/h

Somewhere is test of this plus Japan magazine tested this too(on YouTube is somewhere video)

Those HT Autos are just for one reason and its for looks and genuine OEM Subaru, here is link on this diffuser
