Driver weights
Its an issue i have never seen discussed in any seriousness,,
I have spent a lot of time reading through the project threads, i love seeing what people are up to and the skill and dedication involved, but A LOT of time and money is invested in weight reducing measures yet for the mass behind the wheel its something not many people address seemingly.
We all know in every sport now even the non "sporty" sports from golf to F1 driving the competitors are normally athletes and have regimes to maintain health,
for me any competitive racing should involve atleast some attention to this area, its free and cant really produce negative effects.
In addition to the weight reduction benefits, the human body works best when its working at optimal health conditions and not burdened with extra mass to carry around and support.
With realistic goals for even mildy overweight bodies to reduce weight by 10kg possibly more is there any attention given to this area in Subaru related racing?
Would even short term prep where a reduction of 2-5jk's be worthwhile to competitive drivers do you think?

One of my mates is of a similar build, proverbial brick sh1thouse. I chucked him my keys one day, as he'd never driven one. It was funny as **** watching him trying to get in and out.
He did come back with a massive grin on his face though.

BMI is a joke for a 5ft 11 inch "monster" you need to weigh 9 stone summat to reach the lower limit of normal ! ! !
Even dunx is 10 st 7 pounds dry....
dunx
P.S. Many "fatties" chase more power to over-compensate for their gluttony and boozing

Unfortunately this larger-bodied person wasn't for many years able to purchase more power, due to er.... gluttony and boozing

I've thought about this topic before, a lot of people do go to extreme lengths to save weight on the car but like you say, could easily shed a good few kilos off the driver. I'm 5ft 10 and 13stone, wouldn't say I was obese at all, but I could have the opposite to anorexia when I look in the mirror
