Yes I've had mine since 2007, it helps keep an eye on things e.g. KC and AM incase you get a bad batch of petrol.
I have also wired in oil temperature and pressure sensors and monitor them through it too.

I have followed the instructions and did the wiring, it is not difficult just take your time.
The Defi sensors were then fitted by a garage.

Not just good - superb.

Set the warnings you want and it will warn you.

Also good for setting the gear change etc.
Mine's set to 7,200 (JDM obviously). If the gear change light goes off then after the journey I look at max revs, to see how close I came.

(Hence it got set to 7,200, to stop me getting to the redline).

Also gives real-time data eg. Oil Temp ('OT').
Helps check that your gauges are working OK (if you have any).

Apparently the Defi's are spot on................

I wouldn't be without mine. Got mine from a very decent chap on here from the Midlands. Worth the drive from down here.

Mine is dash mounted in a colour / effect coded shroud. Perfect match and it sits where the clock used to be.

They are great, but on a hot day when the sun has been belting on the car for hours, I can't really see the display as the LCD gets a bit too hot I think.

It's all there, but looks very different in the heat.

Normal weather / night time, spot on.

Yep had one in my classic and was first thing i was on look out for in my hawkeye. Things like coolant temp and inlet temps are particulary handy. You soon realise your dash temp gauge is a bit vague in comparison

fault code reading is very handy also, ecu resets etc

Had mine for about 10 years...... good to keep an eye on things. If you are buying one get the more modern VFD and not the older LCD.

Had mine for a while and just in ECU resets it's paid for itself. Agree with Shaun about the VFD and I've got a spare one to use to try a conversion on see if I can do an upgrade
