OK, OK, I know... Super Unleaded again.. Please Help !!!

Any advice would be much appreciated.
Have had a MY97 Turbo Wagon for 2 months now and when purchased the Dealer told me it had been running perfectly OK on Premium Unleaded for a year or more ( to his knowledge ).
I read so much about the "Super" debate that I need to canvas opinion. So what's the score guys? . I know all about the Knock sensor and the "3 tank full's" , but when I filled with super 2 weeks ago it cost me an extra £8 a tank
Please, somebody re-assure me I'm not headed for the land of "Meltdown" !!!!

I can't comment on det / melted pistons as (thankfully) I have never had those problems. I have been running my MY00 on normal UL since new with no problems. I changed to SUL recently (it took just over a tank to notice the difference) and I've been pleased with the smoother engine, better pickup and slightly improved MPG. For what it's worth I wouldn't use UL now unless I'm really stuck (but then I'm not paying for the petrol ) - not because of possible det problems, but for the reasons stated.
Cheers

Its always best to use SUL in any car that has been modified........
At only a couple of pence per litre more than 95 RON how did it cost you an extra £8.
Have you a 300 litre tank.....lol
I wouldnt even compromize using it its piece of mind.Plus you will get a slight increase in performance...
Once you have been running SUL for a couple of weeks, disconnect the battery overnight to reset the ECU....this will help.
