it was -0.5 to -0.6 on idle normally.
anybody with a boost gauge should know it doesnt idle that high up
Yes, it should be around -9psi (-0.6bar)
If the engine is idling ok it could be a problem with the gauge. Does it reach normal boost? Is the gauge direct reading or electric? (don't tell me it's Prosport)

I'll second that with the prosport they are sh!te. My boost sensor has failed 3 times in 5 years and the oil pressure sensor is on its way out, confirmed results with a mechanical gauge and its reading 16psi lower than actual.
If the AVC-R is confirming it, it won't be a problem with the gauge so there has to be a problem to cause the engine to produce a low vac figure at idle. How is the car running?
