What are your best tips for happy scoob ownership? Here's my go
1. Use Optimax
2. Be careful how you close the bonnet on the 2001MY+ 'cos they're ally
3. Clean any bird **** off the paint straight away or else it will get marked.

ok here goes
1) Always start your car with the clutch depressed
2) Always allow the engine to warm up, at least 15 mins
before going over 3000rpm
3) Always allow the car to cool down after a hard run
2-3mins of off boost driving by 30-60 secs idle should do it
4) Always use a good quality oil + genuine filter
5) Always have fun

1. Never go in a faster car than yours, as you'll always be wanting more power.
2. Don't try to keep up with the Jones's with their new STi7's.
3. No matter how much faster others seem to go on track, don't try to be a hero and keep up, go at your own pace.
4. Don't tune the non STi's to the hilt, get an STi instead
5. Don't listen to a word that pslewis says

Maybe young gun, but can they handle the bends in the wet like a Subaru. My Forester gives those Saxo boys a real shock I can tell you....No offence intended, but try the Audi BBS or Citroen(do they do one?)...Blutes

Saxo site is saxosportsclub.co.uk and there are some people on there with 200bhp VTS's which would murder a standard scooby over a 1/4 mile. They would probably be useless in the wet though cause it's difficult enough to get the power down in a standard VTS with only 130bhp!

James.thx for the understeer advise. Got me into a slide 3 days after purchase of my MY98. totally buckled a wheel. could have been worse. Lesson learnt.....'don't lift of if understeering!'
I think the PZero's had something to do with it.
