Darren

Sounds good could you post a pic on the board or to me.

How much was the spoiler and do the new pads need to warm up before they bite?

Cheers
Yee

I am now the proad and broke owner of a 95 WRX.
I will be looking to upgrade the audio system first any advice as to what speakers fit etc would be appreciated but the main point is what mod first?I am thinking probably the air filter?Any suggestions out there in scooby land?I hear that KN are good?

1. Speakers I can't remember what speakers I put in the front, but it's certainly a significant upgrade for about £100 Use search at the top inder ICE to find sizes, etc.

Of course, remember the stereo is only needed when stuck in traffic, otherwise, turn it off!

2. Geometry set with Bumpsteer mod at Powerstation. £117 Significantly improved the feel on my MY97 which I think has the same suspension as a 95WRX.

3. Get those dampers checked, they may be significantly worn on a 6 year old performance car. Mine were done under warranty at two years, but theres lots of talk about after market dampers here, use search at the top.

4. Brakes - I think you'll probably be running 2-pot brakes at the front, like me. I am planning on some track sessions. An intermin fast-road improvement would be some STI 3/MY99 onwards SUBARU 4-pos callipers (can be obtained second-hand), however the general concensus here is to go for a £1100 ap racing or brembo set of disks and lightweight 4-pot callipers.

5. Apparently a brake support bracket improves brake feel incredibly for under £100.

All this and not many insurance hassles!

Alternatively, I assume you it's already a 280bhp. The alternative approach often talked about here is to fit a loud dump valve, free-flow exhaust, ram-air filter, superlinkremapchip. You'd probably crack 300bhp and get lots of attention when racing, parking, parked, trying to stop, etc! Not for me though.

Well, perhaps just the scooby/magnex back box to let that flat-four out!

regards,
Rob.

With my 94 WRX hatch of 8 weeks ownership the first move (after fitting an alarm system - which gave me an insurance discount), was to instal an amplifier under the passenger seat and a sub-woofer in the cargo space; this gives better reproduction of Ramstein cd's and similar driving sounds.
From threads on this bbs plus SICD the local performance garage concurred with fitting (and i quote from the invoice) - Stainless steel intake, K&N airfilter, group A pipe (de-catted) and rear muffler (the rear muffler is twin exhaust which i think is in better proportion to the vehicle than a single big bore).
Only got the mechanics done today, so can't comment too much on the performance change, but the vehicle seems to have more low torque and it also makes a nice burbly noise (so I don't have to play the Ramstein CD for sounds entertainment anymore).

Next move is a LINK ecu .....

regards
