Purge Control Solenoid
In doing a parallel fuel rail mod I've noticed that part the purge control system goes back to one of the metal fuel lines that will be going in to the bin. 2 questions, and I'm just after a sanity check, can the line that would routinely run from the purge control system vent to atmosphere. Secondly, in doing this can I bin the purge control solenoid, bung all of the take-offs on the inlet manifold and inlet hose and switch off the fault code during the upcoming remap and in doing so will the car still run okay. I understand it's just an emissions control system anyway.
I've not been able to make much sense from this thread on NASIOC and it seems okay to remove the valve but it's unclear about the solenoid...

If this works I can use the nipple as the take-off for my new FPR once I decide where to mount it
Cheers
Jon

It will have had one from the factory, question is when it was deleted what happen to the evap pipe - I've read that this can be vented to atmosphere but best to route the pipework under the car to prevent fuel smells in the cabin

In answer to your question yes
As in the link picture the two pipes connect to the solenoid & the inlet / this is part of the vapour return to carbon canister - just junk the whole lot & blank the inlet & re- vent from fuel tank

So what you're saying is bin the lot including the carbon cannister and run the tank vent somewhere else but to atmosphere then get all related fault codes disabled on the ECU
