Default Advice on an STi for sale

Good morning,

I find myself returning once again to the big question: Should I buy an Impreza WRX or STi?
I've spotted this one which is for sale and looks in pretty good condition:

http://www.buchananmotors.com/galleries/STi/

Does this car look as an STi should and does it look as if it has had any accident damage or abuse? I'm not looking for a modified car and it would be used for commuting to and from work.
I currently own a 2005 VW Golf GTI (MkV) which has 67k miles and full VW dealer service history. It's a five door in black and has a 250bhp remap.
The dealer says that his Subaru is worth more than my Golf. Is this true or is it just car dealer nonsense?

Thanks folks, Gary

Remember the dealer will be wanting to give you bottom book that will be around 2 to 1.5 k below retail figure and will be wanting top book for the car they are selling sometimes even 1k above the retail guide

I have seen guys buy a car for 10k next day realise its not for them and get offered 7.5k in px then the car they have bought and px go back on the forecsourt for 10.5 k
