Default legacy diesel

I have an 08 legacy diesel with a cracked block. Can anybody tell me where i could source a used or reconditioned engine for it.

Give finch motorsport a try, maybe able to help you i know he has done some work to the diesels

The 2.0 boxer diesel seems to have quite a high failure rate.

Not according to Subaru!

Would appear that they don't put as much effort into the engines that are popular outside their home territory...

Known issues with the 07 -09 engine, now sorted in the later models I believe. My 08 car went pop at 50K.

Never seen any with cracked blocks, had a couple with failed rear mains and one melted piston other than that they've been spot on up our end, But they can cost a small fortune to repair outside of warranty
