Exchange for what ??? Not your OE spoiler surely.
RCM want £2K for it so no chance they'll knock a grand off if you give them your standard one in exchange.

If you ask me £2K for a spoiler on a road car is ridiculous regardless of the quality.

A cheaper option if you want that 'rally' look is a set of perrin wing stiffis.

If you want a proper one, you'll need to go here:

http://www.wrc.gr.jp/launsport/int/

And then here (joke!):

No wonder RCM have so much money hey.
As the above comments, its supposed to be a wrc replica spoiler but because rcm just modify an OE spoiler it doesn't hang over the rear like a proper WRC one.

If you want an epic rear spoiler have a look at the GB270 wing, pretty epic looking and about 1/4 the price of that Roger Clark one.

Might not be the look you're looking for, mind.

The L'aunsport carbon fibre one is about £1643.00 and the fibreglass replica £856.00, at today's rates:

http://www.wrc.gr.jp/launsport/wing/wing.html

They've gone down quite a lot recently. My 2004 carbon fibre one apparently cost one of the previous owners over £2000.

Each of the four slats in the RCM spoiler are unique to that position and the holes drilled require a template, as its very well made. Typical of them at RCM, it's all about quality. Like all things in life, you pays your money and take your choice....oh and I like mine. :-)

Nobody questions their quality, everyone knows what thats like.

I just can't see how they can warrant a £2000 price tag for a standard STI spoiler with 4 wing stiffis screwed on it.
Maybe they use the finest quality diamond drill bits and the template is made from gold leaf

And the crazy thing is people get drawn in by the hype and actually blow 2 grand on it. Crazy,

Keep an eye on the exchange rates and you might pick up the fibreglass Launsport one for around that. They fit just right if my carbon fibre one is anything to go by:

Hi

I bought one from Japspeed via ebay back in 2010 and had it sprayed in WR Blue. Looks like they still have them for £299 plus delivery.

http://www.japspeed.co.uk/Subaru-Imp...r/p-24-74-448/

I was quite happy with the finished item - the body shop did say they wished they had quoted more to paint it though

Unfortunately, I no longer have the car and although I removed the WRC spoiler before trading it in I sold this separately.

If you want to see a Pic of the spolier on the car have a look at this SIDC thread (sorry Scoobynetters but too lazy to look out and post the pic):

http://forums.sidc.co.uk/topic/16005...1#entry1454407

Good luck with your quest.

Cheers

Den

I have to agree with the above regarding 2k for a spoiler. Rip-off IMO. Plus they look pants anyway. Might as well just buy some Perrin stiffi's, which, for the record, I also think are ridiculously overpriced. Circa £50 for a triangular piece of plastic......ill pass thanks.

Yea but the holes require a special template and the fins positions are unique to RCM.....so easily worth 2 grand.

LOL....

Suppose they have to fund the gobstopper some how.

That's a much more reasonable price... I'd love one, but then I'd need the rest of the kit...
