Default New member saying hi...

Hello everyone, new member here saying hello!

I will be taking ownership of my very first Subaru this Saturday, a GB270 saloon. And I can't wait!

I've always been a car enthusiast but haven't owned a performance car for around 5 years now. My last one was a Honda Integra Type R, but it's been all diesels since. So I'm very much looking forward to getting a bit of power under my right foot again!

Welcome aboard

Make sure you get some pics of this car up.

You don't plan to fit a dump valve or decal kit do you...?

Cheers guys. No I don't plan on either of the above, I do like the sound of a dump valve I must admit, but I doubt I will ever fit one.

The first thing on my list is to replace the God awful double din stereo with a touch screen/ipod/satnav unit.

The car is currently standard but I will try and get some pics up on Saturday if I get some good ones

Hello to you and everyone else, I am also a new member, I am hoping to buy a GB270 or RB320 next year, I would be interested to know how you get on with yours.

I've had a few fast cars in the past, 2.0l Clio sport ( great fun!!) seat Leon Cupra and most recently a 2.5l v6 mg which was my baby but she died recently ((.

Hoping I can get any advice or info from the guys on here and look forward to learning as much As poss b4 the big day.

How does it drive when just around town? I have two young kids so need it to be practical when they are in the car, the rest of the time I just want some speed)

Yeah I also seriously looked into the RB320, but in the end I just didn't want to spend all the extra money, money which I can spend on other things...

Plus I do love the WR blue

I only do around 7k miles a year [mostly A roads] and this will be my daily driver, so I can cope with the high fuel consumption.

Like you I only do 5k a year so economy isn't too much of an issue, it is a nice decision to make between the RB and the GB, roll on next year.
