What's the standard bhp from a 97 wrx ?

260-280 depending on whether it is an early 97 or a late 97.

All 97 wrx were 280ps.
The very early cars were 240ps, then in 94 it increased to 260 then 280 in late 96.

Cool I was just wondering if mine had been remapped as its got a print out of 284.3 but I'm guessing that is not had 1
