Default Sport Wagons - Info Needed

We have a 207 diesel that we use for long runs to see family and go away on holiday. We now need something a bit bigger now so I have been looking at Impreza Wagons. I dont want to get another turbo we'd like to retain some of the mpg we get from the 207 hence looking at the sport models.

Has anyone on here got one or owned one?
What kind of average motorway mpg do you get?
Are the engines reliable, if its been taking care of?
etc

Cheers guys

Seriously, don't do it.

I bought the wife one as a family car. We had it less than 6 months, absolutely awful thing.

I have a sports wagon non turbo! Big boot, spacious but not great on fuel! Better off sticking with the car you got! I love mine to bits but fuel economy is bad

I've got a Hawkeye R Sport (160 bhp) and I get 350 to a tank of mixed driving - I don't hang about, either.

I did upgrade the front brakes though.
