Default rocker cover gaskets??

hi on my classic uk 2000 wy99 i have a weeping rocker cover gasket which is nreally starting to smell inside my car now i think its dripping onto the exhasut or headers or whatever is underneath it ???????? the other side looks like its on they way out to so i am just going to replace both gaskets either side can anyone tell me how diificult this job is to do??????????? and also where part number are they and where to buy them from ???????????

thanks mate what engine is mine if a 1999 uk 2000 turbo a ej2o as there is many gaskets on this site

ok i think ive just found them for 29.99 a side for the car bit steep for a gasket kit ??!?!?! How easy is EASY im half handy with a spanner it looks like a nitemare to get your hands into the area

Make sure you buy the full kit, including all the bolt gaskets. Its quite easy to do, make sure you put plenty of cloths down below the head to stop excess oil dripping on the headers.

IIRC the bottom back bolt is a pain as a ratchet clashes with the chassis leg. So you have to use an open ended spanner on this one.

i have just orderded a kit so i hope its all there it says outer gasket ,inner gasket and also plug gaskets etc
