Terms of the deal was that Toyota have to massively outsell the Subaru version as Subaru were paid handsomely to develop the project. So there is less restriction on numbers and the Toyota has to be sold as the more attractive proposition to buyers.

Was the BRZee bay designed similar or the same as older models? Might fit nicely in a MY10.

Might sound like a dumb question, but my Subaru knowledge leans mostly towards the facelift Classics. Need to brush up on the later and earlier model years.
