Default Blobeye Scoop / Reverse Vent Best Of Both Worlds?

I don't know if any of you have seen this customised scoop before, but if you have do you know who carried out the modifications?

I think it would give the best of both worlds whilst keeping the iconic Blobeye scoop in it's rightful place.

Any pointers gratefully received.

What's the point?

Tests have shown that fitting a reverse scoop raises underbonnet temperatures.

Surely the air flow will be crap as the air enters the scoop its lifted over the vents.

There are arguments and tests to prove that both scoops and vents have their benefits and drawbacks.

Personally I've seen the heat haze from escaping hot air via a reverse vent, which it wouldn't via the conventional bonnet scoop.

I just think that the above modified scoop could work very well indeed.

From memory when I took the pic a good few years ago the vent is there in order to expel the hot air as it's blocked off from the scoop 'inlet'.

So in effect you have an inlet for cold air and an outlet for hot air.

I just wish I'd taken more than one pic when I had the chance.
