one tooth out....?
Hi folks, I'll try keep it brief. Took the scoob in for replacement leaking camshaft seal, mechanic said cambelt contmainated with oil so best to change it, so agreed, even though only done 17000 miles ago. Anyway when he came to do it he said old belt was one tooth out!
Is this possible? Car ran great, pulled well, started 1st turn. Get it back tommorrow so maybe what I thought was a fast car is about to be faster!
Just thought I'd share, any comments, thoughts are welcome.

Is it an early classic you have, i had this problem when i changed my 94 wrx belt, the lines on the pullys are slightly off. I timed it up using the marks and it was one tooth out so i knocked it back the tooth and it was fine.
