Default scooby insurance

hi people i have owned a uk 2000 turbo now for a year and i have 2 years no claims my insurance at the moment is 700 quid.........im looking to upgrade to a wrx classic or maybe 51-53 plate newage depending on what i find. im just worried the step from group 17 -18 i think maybe 18 is going to be ridiculous can anyone tell me if they have made a similar upgrade with only 2 years NCB or can any one point me towards a good insurance bloke or company that deals with subarus thanks.

Agreed, they are VERY competitive for modded cars too.

With a specialist you will see no difference between a uk turbo and jap wrx classic.

Also, I think you'll find wrx and sti classics are actually group 20.
I was paying less than £600 fully comp on my 400+ stiV3 with Moley and that was with 0 no claims as its being used on another car.
