Anyone have experience of scratch repairs?
My car has been keyed on both front wings and both rear doors.
As its a red classic, the scratches are now bright white and will need painting.
I want to know if they can be sorted without me needing a full respray of each panel. Has anyone had any experience of scratch repair?
The worst is the rear drivers side door, the scratch is about 18" long, the wings about 12" and the passenger rear door has 2 about 6 inch long.
this sort of thing has never happened to me before so I'm looking for advice as I cant afford to respray 4 panels (about £400).
Thanks

You shouldn't need a "full" re-spray. Quite often they can rub down the scratched area and spray that. Because of the many angles on panels like top of door compared to bottom of door you will not see any shade difference. I believe the repair is made harder if the scratch goes to the end of the panel and damages the edges.
I'm not a paint sprayer or any kind of expert, just been up this road myself years ago. I'm sure an expert will come along and give you more detail.
