VF22 or TD05
As title chaps, in regards to what would spool sooner?
I understand the capability of the VF22 is potentially high. My bug WRX is in a fair state of tune, but I'm suspecting a blown turbo. So I'm just weighing up my options
I'm gunning for 330-350. And have the supporting mods for it. (Yes I'm aware of the gearbox)
There's a few I'm looking at really, the VF23 28, 22. Not the 35, just don't trust them.
Anyway, as title. Your opinions please fellas

The 22 is slower to spool up than the 23 and 28 but will make more power.
I ran a 28 for a bit and achieved 342bhp with it which is pretty much as much as you'll get. Usual results are around 330 and they spool up great. As with all old VF's they are a little fragile. I'd be more inclined to go with a TD series turbo of some description. Maybe a 05 18G as a 16G probably wont get the figures your after.

I find a vf22 is too laggy for my liking. I personally rate the V23 as a good all round turbo. If you can find one. They are more fragile than the td05 turbos for sure., especially with a front mount fitted.
