Default cambelt, easy DIY job?

Hey guys, gonna need to change my cambelt and aux belts soon and just wandered if it a job that can be easily carried out myself or whether its gonna be a real pain.. I have a non turbo 2000 classic sport.

Depends how handy with the spanners you are. I did mine a month or so ago and took around 4 hours, only need basic tools and a torque wrench. There are plenty of guides on the net with photos. Out of personal experience I would say get the full kit inc pullies and tensioner unless you are 100% sure when they were done last. Import car parts do the kit, belt, pullies and tensioner for around £170.

There will be plenty of people on here to offer advice if you do decide to tackle it.

Its easy enough but getting the passenger side pullies to line up and stay where they are is a PITA.

Make or buy a locking tool and its just the same as doing 2 x 16v engine cambelts but only one crank,
it isnt hard but its certainly not a 10 minute job.
