Yeah,

Gear leaver surround pulls up, two screws at the bottom and then the heater controls/radio surround in clips at the top. There quite tight though.

Then the top vent unscrews.

To solute the switches from the facia there are 4 screws holding it together.

What are you trying to remove?

If you want to remove the gator from the **** there is a black rubber circle on the back of the ****. Pull that down the gator is simple sandwiched in between.

It will mate.

Undo the top clips Nd pull back, then the same on the bottom.

When you put them back together they need a good press too as they feel like the in but there not.

The stick gaitor. Mines a 6speed like yours, just wondered how u did it if your doesn't have a pop stud on the front. Coz the reverse collar lifter is in the way. So the only way i can doing it is either cut the gaitor or remove the reverse lifter collar, which i have no idea about sorry for stealing the thread tarquin.

Have u got a 6 speed with a gaitor that doesn't have a pop stud? Removing the gear **** yes yes done that, but if you know what I mean that doesn't help as the gaitor is obstructed by the reverse lift collar! No one seems to know bar cutting the gaitor and writing it off.

i have taken the full plastic trim off then pushed the gaitor from underneath, think you have to pull it forward a little, you can tell as soon as you take the full unit off and look underneath

ignore above thought you were tryoing to remove the gaitor from the palstic surround, see below with pic

Mine wont, the top of the gaitor is a snug fit around the stick nevermind getting it past the reverse collar.

put a pic up, maybe somethings wrong as its not that tight at all and easily pulls over the reverse lifter.

why don't you unclip the gator from the plastic trim at the other end.
undo the sti metal surround and take it off and the gator will unclip from the plastic

I cant imagine its hard to get hold of, even new its not going to be expensive.
from what I can remember it sort of sits on a silver cone part below the reverse lifter.

Whats underneath then? where the leather gaitor joins the plastic trim? cos surely you can just unclip there and remove the plastic trim over the leather gaitor.
