Default 6k for a Standard Blob STI, are they out there?

So after test driving a 350Z today my missus tuned to me and said she didn't like it and now wants a Blob Sti

So she set her limit at 6k which I thought you might find a standard blob STI for but as it turns out most seem to start at 7k. Anyone come across any worth a look recently? I've looked in the usual places, PH, Fleabay, Autotrader.

O and it must be a Blob and around 60k on the clock.

Cheers

You could probably find one for 6k mate, but it wouldn't be the best. I'd suggest that your missus keeps saving and gets a nice example, there are plenty out there. I waited for a good while before getting mine as I was advised to do exactly what I've just advised you to do lol!! I saved for a bit longer and got a low mileage blob JDM sti. It's been faultless in the 3 months I've had it (minus a worn drop-link). I could have got a cheaper car initially, but when your buying a performance car...........

Buy nice or buy twice!!

I thought they would be cheaper in the midlands and up north. You still got you Sti and I think you where down Middlesex last week?

Are you exclusively looking at 2005 models? If so, 7k is about the going price. Whereas I got my 2003 with 60k on the clock for 5.2k. Very good condition, just needed brakes cleaned/pads replaced! So keep looking, you'll find a nice one.

I feel I was lucky by the way, 6k is usually the going price for anything older than 2005.

I've not been south with the car in a while, the last MSOC meet was even longer for me. But yeah still got mine although its a modded WRX.

I've told her that for that money she's looking at slim pickings, keep looking...

No doesn't have to be 05 just a Blobeye, so 03 onwards really.

I was in the same position last september, i was happy enough to have a 03 or 04 STI but wanted a PPP spec, and didn't want a blue one. In the end I paid 6,500k for a black 03 STI with PPP. The only downside is it had 80k on the clock, but the car is in a good enough condition for it not to worry me too much.

While looking i saw a silver 05 STI PPP for the same price with less miles, needless to say it wasn't for sale very long and sadly i missed out.

I would think it would be easy to find an 03- blob STI for around 5k I bought mine off here a few months back and there's been loads of cars for sale on here alone around 5k since.

You should be able to get a nice example for 6k I recon.

I got my 54 plate sti for £3400 64k on the clock but needed its big service, cambelt and a drivers door. Painting "I hate all subarus" keyed on the door. But that was from my mate who needed £3,400 to buy a golf tdi. He just had a kid and didnt want to rattle the new born ti much and didnt trust his missus driving the sti lol im happy i got lucky. Keep searching till you find the right one they do pop up

They are out there mate. I bought my 03 sti in November for 5,900 with 38k, 2 owners, PPP and prodrive 18 inch alloys. I think with an impreza- if you get it cheaper then usually needs tyres, camber etc. or you pay more and is already done. Unless you really lucky like logger! That was a steal mate! My advance is get the car is the best condition rather than miles. As when I was looking some of the low mileage examples were bins. Good luck mate. Drive as many ask you can before you buy.
