Hi all,

I was wondering about the power gain I may get from either chipping or remapping my ECU on a N/A car?

I also would like to hear your opinions on this type of engine modifications. I know that they have been talked about before. I have talked to the agents and they were full of praise, "It doesn't damage the engine, you'll get loads of mid range power etc...",

I would love to hear other peolpes experence, has anyone here had a one fitted of their old non turbo car, did it make a difference????

Cheers

I have a BMW B3.5 Alpina (<B>FOR SALE</B>) which I had a 'superchip' fitted to.

Big improvements throughout, ran smoother, picked up better and was generally more driveable.

Ocasionally in the really cold weather It would be a little lumpy for the first 2 minutes but perfect after that.

Had almost identical results on my 2.9i 4X4 Granada which I had years ago. (And my 16 valve Astra come to think of it).

Mike.

I had a BBR Star*Chip on a Corsa GSi.

certainly made a difference. bought it in conjunction with a ITG air filter.

One thing I will say though...since having the chip fitted I had to have a new lambda sensor every 4 months.....
