hello, couple of months back someone ran into the pack of me on a petrol station at about 2 miles an hour and dented my bumper (caused a lot of bumper damage as it right on the corner). Since then I have been trying to find one on ebay in silver that will go straight on.

I thought I would put 1 last post on here to see if anyone was breaking one and had the bumper for sale before I get one resprayed.

if anyone can help me I would be gratefull

if they ran into you , why not claim on their insurance?

 

they told me they had no insurance and to be honest that came across looking at there car (s reg rusty smoking fiesta with no tax). it will cheaper (high excess) for me to fix it and not have my insurance record tarnished

 

I hope you called the police and just didn't take their word for it

 

I did report it, got a letter about 8 weeks after it had happened telling me that its registered address was unidentifiable??? the police told me that this meant whoever filled in the log book probably put in a fake name and address. they also told me that if I report it to my insurance company then they will contact the previous owner to try and get more information on the person that bought the car, all of which I suspect I would be billed for. I can get a new bumper painted and fitted for £450 and my excess is £400. not worth doing

Had a quick look at the rules and reckon I will be able to do that for you but may get told off (awaits somebody setting me straight).....
