Default annoying (and very expensive) up pipe issue :(

I bought my bugeye uk wrx about 7 months ago, its very clean in a1 condition but i noticed there were a couple of slight mechanical issues which have all been sorted apart from this bloody up pipe issue! Basically there was a very small blowing of the standard up pipe which was annoying, not only did it sound awful but i could not use the heater blowers while stationary or the car filled with exhaust fumes. Anyway i bought an up pipe off ebay (i know bad decision) as one of my mates bought the same pipe some months before and it was a good bit of kit, not in my case.... I bought the proper subaru gaskets for both ends of the pipe (the supplied gaskets were dog sh!te) and also a header gasket incase it was needed. I booked the car into john pye motors in west aukland to have the work done, halfway through the install it became clear that the ebay up pipe would not match in with the subaru gaskets, so my only option was to use the supplied gaskets. All was well for about 3 days when i noticed a whistling/squealing noise coming from the engine bay under hard acceleration. A few minutes later the bottom gasket to the header had blown out so i rang tristan at the garage and explained what happened. I then bought a second hand harvey smith up pipe and took it back to the garage, had the new up pipe fitted with new gaskets and all was ok for about an hour when the b@stard blown again! Booked the car back into the garage and had it stripped and the header re-skimmed, all refitted and all seemed ok for about 2 hours when i pulled out of the fuel station and hello squealing noise again! kinda like the one in this vid:

So now ive checked all over for boost leak incase its that, even to the extent of swapping the intercooler and all pipes. Its really p!ssing me off now and im even thinking about selling it! I could do with some good advice as to what to do next? should i buy new headers? up pipe?

thanks in advance

Three pipes blowing - I'd begin checking the exhaust components either side if your pipe rather than just keep replacing the pipe for different brands

have u checked all connections on the inlet as i had a similar sound on my car turns out it was one of the vaccum lines in the inlet slightly leaking causing the whistle

If you have come to the end of trying to sort it yourself then why not book it into a local specialist for help and advice... how near are you to stockton ?

what headers are you using and what turbo. seems one or other is out of line.

what exhaust you using? might be pulling turbo out of line.

@craigybaby: Ive checked everything i can think of mate, i forgot to say that its only making this noise until the car is up to temperature, possibly indicating that the gap/leak is being sealed with expansion when the offending piece of exhaust/gasket gets hot.

@midlife: im just north of hartlepool mate so yeah just a stone throw away from stockton, ive heard of this company, have you used them before?

@nyscooby: turbo and headers are standard mate :/

Soooo, i have just got my car back today from john pye motors... He informed me that the welds were not up to scratch on the up-pipe that i bought, they were allowing exhaust gas to escape while cold.... I gave the car a test drive, everything fine, let it cool down and back out again and everything was still fine, after about 2 hrs of driving i am now greeted with this whistle again!!!!! I rang john and he assures me it must be something else as the welds could not come away.... Rang alyn at AS performance and he's going to try to fit me in to take a look next week, fml
