Default Coolant smell

Sorry guys! I know this thread has been mention a few times. I did a complete service on my bugeye wrx this week as its not been used much over the last 18 months so I decided to sell my run around and start using the scooby as an every day driver again. Service included: timing belt kit, water pump, oil pump, oil and filter and new coolant. The problem is every time the car gets hot there is a nasty smell of coolant. There was a leak on the top radiator hose when I checked, so I put a new clamp on and re bled the system. The coolant smell is still present. Can't find anymore leaks, temperature gauge is reading normal as it always has, the fans are working fine, no oil in water or vice versa, no smoke from exhaust and no coolant loss. I'm stumped!

Hi Drew. Washed the engine bay after the coolant leak. Driven about 200 miles since but still getting an intermittent whiff of coolant. Also the top rad pipe is quite hard when engine is getting up to normal operating temperature.
