Did the unthinkable!
I sold my v4 sti and got... a gx! I know, I know but the insurance just killed it for me! It an 04 sti rep so at least it looks the part but I miss my dump valve :'(
Anyway im still enjoying it and I could never "unleash the beast" on the morning drive to work anyhow. The colossal savings are really taking the sting out of it.
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a decent induction kit or am I better of with the standard box? Any other tips on squeezing a few more ponies for pennies appreciated

I really would worry about trying to make it faster mate. The best thing to do is improve the handling a little bit. That's what I did with my GX sport and it made a big difference.

New one looks the part but when i owned my sport which was modded to look like a tubby, i felt like a fraud, you know, like those biatches who wear bra inserts and when you get them home, thwap, out they pop and you know the rest !
i didnt see any savings apart from insurance when i owned my sport, petrol was the same, yes, still only got max 30 mpg if driven steady, parts are still pricey, clutch etc so really a tubby isnt that much dearer, your just lying to yourself, admit it !!!!!!!

Maybe I am but recently got married, had a baby and bought a house so the money I save on insurance pays a whole months mortgage. I can handle the shame for that ;-)

All well and good until a baseball cap wearing chap eats you in his saxo..... And then tells his mates he smoked an sti :-)
But if your happy then who cares, good luck to ya. My gx ownership lasted for less than 3 months. One of the worst cars I ever had the displeasure to own. Massively underpowered, high insurance considering it's performance, crap on fuel and horrible inside.
Yours looks pretty nice though chap.

Its definitely not a car for a baseball cap donning racer but plenty of power for driving normally. Im getting to old for driving everywhere on the rev limiter and if I feel the need (and it's warm enough) I get this out the garrage
After owning a supra, 2.8 z3, and an sti Im now happy to plod along... most of the time. Stopping is nice though and this car doesn't seem to want to. Time for some new pads I think

I love my classic sport now ive made it a replica and it doesnt sound too shabby either with the new backbox, but yeah the power is awfull sometimes feel like i could get out and run faster. Wanted a wrx when i bought the car, but a month before i had a pretty bad accident so thought tge slower sport was the best idea insurance wise for a while. You should of let us know u were after a classic sport in exchange for your sti i would probably drove to urs the same day lol

Has that Blob picture been badly photoshopped? Looks like somebody cut the wheel arches out with a pair of kiddies scissors not to mention the door shuts.
Get rid of the STI stickers. It's not an STI, spoiler and wheels is one thing - but artificially badging a car is just sad.
