As above, I'm attempting to fit grease nipples to sort the common clunking and knocking noise.
Question is, can I fit the grease nipples with the struts on the car ?, I can get enough access to do the job with the tools i have so that's not the problem, but I'm mainly asking is there a reason I need to take it to bits completely to fit ?, ie, will it cause any damage inside the strut, with the burr of metal after drilling or does it need cleaning out afterwards ?

Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated as always

I thought that might be the case
Also does it matter what length of thread the nipples are ?, as in if they're too long will they catch on the stanchion ?
