considering buying a blue hawkeye read this first
Hi, I just wanted to warn ppl, braunstone crossroads garage in Leicester sold me a blue 57 plate 2.5 wrx in Jan, it's got lots of bodywork probs, the car looks immaculate and it's only done 33k but aftermarket spoiler not fitted properly, boot lid misaligned, which is why the boot is saturated with water, spare wheel wells a big puddle! badly fitted side skirts that catch on passenger side doors due to severe damage on the sills had the car on a ramp and seen 3 lines across underneath (both mine and professional opinion it's fork lift but not strictly allowed to say that) an independant bodywork specialist said u' d need a new shell to fix these problems, nationwide specialists said they'd need an engineers report before they could do anything! After a month of writing the necessary letters blah the car broke down, I informed them and reminded them that this was simply another thing to take to court so they agreed to give me my money back, by cheque so now I've been without a car for 2 weeks waiting for the bloody cheque to clear! They did tell me it's come from auction and they hadn't even looked at it, what a joke, and they insisted on keeping the tax I put on the car, I just wanted to try and warn ppl coz they have put it back up for sale for 6479.00, they told me they was taking back to auction!

yes its that car.
She didnt realise what she'd bought until bringing it to us and we got it on a ramp in the air and had a proper look at it.
when paying £6500 for a 33k mile car she didnt feel the need to get an AA report or take someone that knew what they were looking at when purchasing it. when the garage is selling high end BMW's and Audi's including 30K+ motors you trust that they arent selling ****.
the garage owners didnt seem too impressed when i went with her to return the car and walked him around it pointing out all the issues!
Fun for me though...

Obviously I didn't know about the problems when I bought it I thought it was perfect, they told me it was from auction and hadn't looked at it when I returned the car to them!

Searching scoobynet and found this
https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...old-again.html
so a scoobynet member has owned it before?
maybe we can trace its history and find out where and how it was so badly damaged?

Shocking!
Hope whoever has bought it has some comeback!
Plus I know it's petty ( considering the amount of damage that's been listed ) but it has the wrong wheels.. just doesn't look right imo.
IF alllegedly a car's been in a bad accident , bodywork damaged , and the wheels knackered ,etc , I have seen salvage companies using forklifts or the like to move them .. hmm

Well he told me he dropped it off at the auction house b 4 Xmas, in good condition, but I noticed in his pictures 2/3 yrs ago it had the original spoiler on so he must have put the other 1 on which let water stream into the boot, if he never used the passenger doors it's possible he didn't know about the sills, within a month the passenger side doors where chipping the paint off the side skirts, there was other obvious things like crack in rear light and rear wing slightly pushed in, bootlid misaligned which he must have been aware of otherwise some1 got it at auction had a accident bodged her and took her back to auction and it was up for sale in early Jan! Still doesn't explain the salvage yard! Either way it's not lazadudes fault he didn't sell her to me. The garage ought to learn a thing or 2 about checking their cars over and they definitely shudnt have put it back up for sale! Just hope whoever buys it can find me if they need any info
