What would you do ? Advise please guys
I currently have 'W' reg dark blue classic, had to car for about 2 years.currently got 69,000. Been a good car, issue is now needs some money spent on it,(bodywork, gearbox Maybe, brakes) I would like to upgrade as I do this, but would the money he better spent getting a sti 5/6 or p1/ type r. Or even a sti version 8.

I'm not usually one to follow the crowd but i shall make an exception on this occasion.
Type r all the way, if your going to spend money on one, it may as well go on something that will hold a decent percentage of that cash, and i recon Type r's are as cheap as they will ever be right now, so the only way is up.

How are you are driving skills???
If they are poor to average go for a P1 if you good or better go for a Type R
In the dry they are fatastic but the DCCD on the type R have caught out plenty of experienced drivers in the wet.
They are completely different to drive to a UK turbo.
I went from a 330BHP uk turbo to a 450-480BHP Type R and to take the power side out of the factor (I had different boost setting which bought the power down to the same as the Uk turbo), they were worlds apart.
Get a damp road and the back becomes twitchy

Used to driving bmw's in the muddy back roads, if I'm Honest I drive like 'miss daisy' most of the time, I never brought one because they are quick, always been a rally fan, know they don't have that much in common to the full wrc cars.
short ration box makes a hell of a difference ,they feel alot quicker due to that
