Brake light bulbs
Can someone please tell be exactly which brake light bulbs are needed.
I recently replaced the stop bulbs, which were 580 model code but were twin filament. Is this the right bulb for this application.
Also what is the other brake light tail bulb code please.

580 is correct, 5w tail and 21w for the brakes.
I'm not sure I know which bulb you mean for the other one but I would guess you are referring to 921 which is like a 580 but smaller with a smaller width base.
Reverse/fog light bulbs are 582. D

Thanks Scoobyfan, but when you look at the rear lights the normal tail lights which come on when you turn you headlights, are separate to the 580 lights. Or am I really confused!

I just checked mine in the car park and 582 is correct, if it were a festoon as turbotits says then it could only be a numberplate bulb.
If you post an image of the bulb I will identify it for you. D

Right I think I understand it now.
Both the brake light and the tail lights use the 580 bulbs.
Even though they are twin filament, the brakes only use the 21W filament and the tail lights only use the 5W filament. I have deduced this as both my brake lights and tail lights have the twin filament bulbs.
Am I right in thinking the rear indicator bulbs are the 921's?
