Default insurance/ tax question

Hello guys,

quick question, if i sorn my car do i still need insurance? not fussed about theft cover as im pritty sure no one will be able to get to it haha

i had a search and found this:
https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-insurance/uninsured-vehicles
which says it must be insured or declaired as sorn, but i thought a while back there was a big hooharr about even sornd cars must be insured?

Also, for the guys that have track only cars, what do you do about insurance/tax/mot etc?

If you have tax on the car then now it must be insured which you did not have to do previously, but if you sorn the car then insurance is not needed

For my 93 import. I have it insured with REIS. The policy covers going to and from the track and driving about a bit between trackdays i.e. Going to a friend's house, testing mods made etc
