Default Breaking the car. Worth it?

Hi all.

Ive got my car for sale but im getting no real interest at all. I could really do with it gone soon.

My question is

Is it worth breaking and will i make my money back.

Its a my98 WRX which is pretty much standard with japspeed cat back. Its done 99k and made 281bhp in november. Its rust free and runs well.

Ive got around £2500 in it and would be happy to make my money back. Is there a market for standard parts and do you think i could shift them?

Im not trying to advertise it in this thread im just trying to find out from you guys wether it would be worth breaking or keep waiting for the buyer to come along.

All opinions on the matter are very welcome.

Bri.

In my opinion not worth it if it is almost standard. Only mods and sti/uprated parts are worth anything other than the couple of hundred you'll get for both the engine and gearbox. Where have you tried selling?

Stick with it buddy as braking standard cars never really brings much money and more often than not is more hassle than its worth.
Its modded cars that bring the cash so keep it advertised as a whole, someone will come along chap.

Show us your add, then we can tell you what your doing wrong, the time of year doesn't help.

But as above standard cars don't make big bucks and can be a pita to get rid of all of it, juicy mods go quickly then your left bitting and bobbing for ages.

Short term gain against long term loss, bare in mind the time of year, both for people buying and the frostbite your gonna get stripping a car for a few hundred quid.

Post the ad up and you'll probably get a realistic valuation, based on what others here have sold theres for. Only way your gonna truly know if its worth the hassle mate.

Good luck with it either way.

Very much doubt you'll get that for a 15 year old car mate.
