With the Impreza no longer on sale here in the UK after this model it got me thinking that my next purchase in many years time will probably be an Import

However it then got me thinking what I'd own if they didn't exist full stop! I reckon it would be something like a Focus RS or one of the RS Audis maybe?

Impreza's will be around for a long time yet and importing is an option for the new models.

the focus for enthusiasts now will gradually shift toward preserving the best of
the cars we have now some versions are already desirable 22b's for example.

if they had never been around i am not sure what i would have had in their place?
perhaps Celica GT4, Toyota MR2, Evo or perhaps one of Nissan's Z cars or skyline series.

indeed they do my dad had a mk1 mr2 s/c running 190hp and that went like stink i hate him for selling it

I would have an EVO if I didn't have the Impreza. I had a Focus RS Mk1 before the scoob, and although it was a nice car, it wasn't as exciting and torque steer got boring after a while (was running just under 300bhp).
