What's it worth?
I've been offered what seems like a fairly good deal to me but without owning a scoob previously I'm not sure what its actually worth.
The car is a 98 gc8 sti 4 door, one owner since import. There is literally no corrosion on the car, arches perfect, boot floor still silver as it left the factory. It's never been converted to mph so is at 124000km (75k miles?). Still on immaculate gold standard 16's with the oe spec Bridgestone's.
However it is running an early ej25 block with (I think) spec c heads and an ihi turbo (vf35 as far as I can tell), proper downpipe/decat/catback dump valve and a CAI (can't remember the brand). On top of that its running on a power fc mapped by Andy Forrest.
As for driving it, because the turbo is small for the engine it only revs usefully to 6.5k but the up side is that there is just a wall of torque even below 3k meaning that in the wet you can drive it like a mk2 escort through 2nd&3rd! Apart from that the clutch feels strong, brakes have a lot of meat and it tracks perfectly.
So what would you pay for it? And do you think it will hold its value for 12/18 months?
Many Thanks and I look forward to your advice!
